You will work in a remote based environment. The Claims Service Representative provides immediate and customer-focused assistance to policyholders who are calling to report insurance claims. Document initial loss details and activities to ensure that callers experience timely and service-oriented disposition of calls. Make determinations based on protocol if immediate adjuster attention is required and coordinate with vendors as required. * In order to work remotely, you will require High Speed Internet. (Download and Upload speed must both be at a minimum of 50 mbps) * Please note that this position requires shift work on a seven (7) day rotating basis with an 8 hour shift between the hours of 7am to 12am. Company:ClaimsPro LP - International Programs Group Property Claims Examiner (anywhere in the US) Reporting to a Claims Supervisor, the Claims Examiner is responsible for investigating and settling property and first party claims and third-party claims, with an emphasis on strong communication and customer service, while utilizing state specific guidelines. IPG works in the contiguous 48 states, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico handling a variety of claims including, but not limited to auto physical damage, inland marine cargo, dealers' open lot, property damage (commercial and homeowners) and general liability. Job Responsibilities: Initiate the investigation of new claims Make liability/coverage decisions Evaluate and negotiate settlements of collision, specified perils, and property damage, as appropriate. Manage and oversee the work of outside adjusters, appraisers and experts. Establish contact with the insured and claimant within established protocol. Recognize coverage issues and bring them to the attention of the supervisor. Develop basic understanding of liability and coverage principles. Recognize state specific laws and claims regulations throughout the United States to insure proper compliance in claims investigation including sending and securing proper documentation. Complete research to determine market value on automobiles and heavy equipment to make recommendations on total loss settlement values using proper state valuation methods. Summarize and make recommendations for disposition of claims in excess of the individual settlement authority. Respond to time sensitive material including but not limited to intercompany arbitration hearings, and department of insurance complaints. Manage a diary system to systematically review and resolve claims within the specified state compliance guidelines. Maintain state license by completing continuing education coursework and/or work towards a claims designation. Handle small claim suits as needed. Un permis d’expert en sinistre valide au Québec est requis (entreprise obligatoire). L'expert indépendant ajuste activement les sinistres tout en veillant à maximiser les opportunités de développement commercial. Pour réussir dans ce rôle, le candidat idéal doit avoir une formation/expérience dans les réclamations automobiles. La majeure partie du travail sera consacré à des dossiers automobiles pour un compte majeur (accidents, pertes totales & vols). Responsabilités: - Contact et suivi rapides avec les assurés et les réclamants.
- Enquêter sur la cause et faire rapport aux clients avec des recommandations solides.
- Tout au long du processus de réclamation, fournir un service à la clientèle de haut niveau aux clients et aux assurés.
- Exécuter les tâches qui lui sont confiées conformément aux normes de travail, politiques et procédures établies.

A valid Quebec Claims Adjuster's license is required (commercial is mandatory). The Independent Adjuster actively adjusts claims while ensuring that business development opportunities are maximized. To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have training/experience in automobile. The majority of the work will be on automobile claims for a major account (accident, theft & total loss). Responsibilities: - Prompt contact and follow up with policy holders and claimants.
- Investigate the cause and report to clients with solid recommendations.
- Identify liability exposures, recommend reserves, recommend investigation required for exposure, prepare action plans, and negotiate fair and satisfactory settlements.
- Throughout the claims process, provide high level of customer service to clients and the insured.
- Perform duties assigned to him/her in compliance with established work standards, policies and procedures.

The Independent Adjuster actively adjusts claims while ensuring that business development opportunities are maximized. This involves marketing and follow-up of opportunities in a timely manner. The profile duties create a dynamic portfolio requiring extremely well-honed organizational skills that enable day to day activities to be completed while allowing efficient and effective progress of file management activities.
To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate should have experience in Personal and/or Commercial lines Auto Property Damage (PD). Some personal Property Claims experience will be considered an asset, as well as the following competencies; Effective Analytical Skills Effective communication skills (verbal, written and presentation) Organizational skills Interpersonal skills Relationship Building skills Demonstrated and proven leadership skills Sense of urgency and responsiveness
Qualifications & Experience
University degree or post-secondary education related to insurance.
Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience. Equivalency in combination of education and experience will be considered Effective analytical skills, including identification of cause and effect dynamics Good investigative manner Able to draw valid conclusions and effectively communicate them. Ability to interpret complex documents of a legal nature, perform and understand advanced numerical calculations including analysis of comparative information. Adjuster’s license, or currently pursuing or have completed the CIP designation Advanced communication skills including: Effective written skills including those of a technical nature Effective oral skills, including listening, interviewing, negotiating, must be able to flex style appropriate to audience. Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage conflicting priorities in an effective manner. Proactive and positive approach to customer service ensuring that all inquiries are effectively dealt with in a timely manner. Strong interpersonal skills allowing you to effectively deal with conflict and difficult situations. Strong commitment to ongoing education and learning.
