We have an existing opportunity to add a Forensic Materials Engineer to our Mechanical and Materials Team! By joining a highly creative, collaborative and experienced team like Pario, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to conduct root cause material failure investigations to support insurance and legal proceedings across various commercial, industrial, residential, and product industries.
The candidate will develop their problem-solving skills and technical background in materials science and mechanical engineering to determine the failure mechanism, cause, and contributing factors of losses involving water leaks and flooding, fuel oil releases, building damage, vehicle collisions, mechanical breakdown, fires, personal injuries, and more.
This role is intended for an early-career materials engineer who is on track for P.Eng. licensure, and it requires a willingness to travel.
Role Responsibilities:
The work involves managing full end-to-end failure investigations to provide objective, scientific answers to clients. Activities may include:
- Lead projects from start to finish, ensuring that timelines stay on track
- Communicating directly with clients to confirm project scope, budget, scheduling, and findings
- Assess, analyze and report on the origin and cause of material failures
- Interview witnesses and service personnel, and obtain background information and documentation on a loss
- Attend sites and document evidence with photographs, measurements, and detailed notes
- Conduct materials characterization and analysis, including non-destructive and destructive laboratory examinations of evidence
- Provide verbal and written reports to clients
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Materials/Mechanical Engineering
- Graduate level degree in Materials Engineering or Materials Science is an asset
- Professional Engineering License or the ability to become licensed in the province of Ontario is a requirement
- Must have a valid G license, access to a vehicle, and the ability to work in remote areas, as well as in a range of temperatures and weather conditions
- In-depth knowledge of materials science (metals, polymers, ceramics, and composites), microscopy (optical, digital, and scanning electron), fractography, metallography, microstructure analysis, mechanical property testing, and other materials characterization, with hands-on materials laboratory experience preferred
- Mechanical aptitude for component disassembly and/or machine shop experience is an asset
- Experience conducting technical literature reviews
- Proficiency in digital photography to document sites and evidence
- Ability to produce neat and legible handwritten notes, diagrams and sketches
- Proficiency in standard Microsoft Office (MS Word, Outlook & Excel)
- Excellent written and verbal presentation skills, and a good command of the English language
- Well-organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and set priorities to meet deadlines, and a demonstrated track record of taking projects to successful completion

We have an existing opportunity to add a CyberClaims Examiner to join our growing team!
The successful candidates will be part of a dynamic team that provides quality service to internal and external clients. They will display excellent customer service skills and will be a key contributor to the success of the organization by providing knowledgeable, detailed and timely service. Utilizing a ‘desktop’ model, IPG examiners manage claims from start to finish. This hands-on approach ensures that the claim is handled properly and helps offset third-party adjusting costs.
Role Responsibilities:
- Examine complex liability claims, with primary focus on Cyber claims
- Produce reports with occasional guidance from Manager
- Direct Field Adjusters on task assignment investigations
- Settle claims directly with Insureds or their representatives
- Administer claims payments/settlements through trust accounts
- Liaise with all stakeholders to ensure clients’ needs are met
- Report back to the syndicate or self-insured according to their guidelines
Qualifications & Experience:
While licensing and experience are critical to being able to handle significant examining tasks for a TPA, we are looking for individuals with a demonstrated and proven track record of performance. You will have to be strong technically, a solid planner and organizer, and understand key issues plus provide solid solutions. You will have to be motivated to do this type of work and be excited by the challenges that a rapidly growing organization faces.

International Programs Group (IPG) is an independent third-party claims administrator which provides claims services for Lloyd’s syndicates, domestic insurers, self-insured entities, or organizations with high deductibles or self-insured retention. We are currently seeking an Examiner ideally within the Montreal Area or within the province of Quebec.
Today IPG works with Canada’s largest network of independent adjusting firms across the country. Operating out of Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver, each IPG office is staffed with specialized senior examiners and qualified desktop examiners. We have regional expertise and are licensed in all Canadian provinces. Responsibilities:
- Act as an examiner for various Lloyds accounts which involves providing prompt, fair, quality claims service to clients.
- Examine complex liability claims.
- Direct Field Adjusters on assignment investigations
- Settle claims directly with claimants or their representatives
- Administer claims payments/settlements through trust accounts
- Liaise with all stakeholders to ensure client's needs are met
Education, Knowledge and Experience Required:
- College diploma or combination of education and equivalent business
- Candidate must be Licensed in the province of Quebec
- Minimum of 5 – 7 years of claims experience in handling of liability claims
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and French

Role Summary:
We are currently looking to add an automobile claims adjuster to our National Accounts team! A valid Quebec Claims Adjuster's license is required (commercial is mandatory). The Independent Adjuster actively adjusts claims while ensuring that business development opportunities are maximized. To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have training/experience in automobile. The majority of the work will be on automobile claims for a major account (accident, theft & total loss).
Responsibilities:
- Prompt contact and follow up with policy holders and claimants.
- Investigate the cause and report to clients with solid recommendations.
- Identify liability exposures, recommend reserves, recommend investigation required for exposure, prepare action plans, and negotiate fair and satisfactory settlements.
- Throughout the claims process, provide high level of customer service to clients and the insured.
- Perform duties assigned to him/her in compliance with established work standards, policies and procedures.
