We have an existing opening for an Environmental Project Manager to join our remediation and emergency response team in or near Calgary or Edmonton, Alberta. The successful candidate will manage projects typically related to transportation and commercial related releases. The right individual will need to be a dynamic, self-motivated and results-oriented professional. While these projects will involve issuing scientific reports, the main objectives are to mitigate the loss, remediation of the site, and support our clients closing their files, in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.
The ideal candidate will have a university degree in Environmental Engineering or Geosciences or a college diploma in Environmental Sciences or related study, with a minimum of two years’ experience within the environmental field and at least two years of project management experience. Hazmat experience is an asset.
Role Responsibilities:
- Emergency response activities including initial investigation, real time remedial planning, retaining, and managing sub-contractors, cost control, field supervision and documentation
- This position will involve spill response, which will include Project Management of the contractors in the field and organizational and scientific documentation of the remediation as it progresses
- Client and regulatory report preparation and liaising with regulators and other stakeholders
- Client engagement and participation in business development activities
- While there will be a wide variety of projects, the primary types will be transportation losses
- The successful candidate will be energetic, results oriented and expected to make decisions in the field with support from head office
- The position will require travel and involve periodic evening and weekend work
Requirements:
- Degree in Science or Engineering (Environmental or Earth Sciences preferred) or related diploma with applicable experience
- A minimum of two years’ experience within the environmental field with at least two years of project management experience
- Experience in soil and groundwater remediation projects including delineation, monitoring and management
- Experience with invoicing, budgeting, and other areas of project management

IPG has offices in Toronto, Montreal and New Westminster. This role is suitable for a candidate who prefers to work in an office part or full time or fully remote.
Although intended to be a remote work opportunity, this position may require attendance to the office for training, client meetings, or team meetings with ample notification. Competencies Required to Succeed:
- Individual must demonstrate the ability to direct adjusters of all levels and work effectively in a team environment

Responsibilities:
- Act as an examiner for various Lloyds accounts which involves providing prompt, fair, quality claims service to clients.
- Examine complex liability claims.
- Direct Field Adjusters on assignment investigations
- Settle claims directly with claimants or their representatives
- Administer claims payments/settlements through trust accounts
- Liaise with all stakeholders to ensure client's needs are met
Education, Knowledge and Experience Required:
- College diploma or combination of education and equivalent business
- CIP designation an asset
- Minimum of 5 years of casualty claims experience including specialty lines experience an asset
- Experience dealing with Lloyds a clear advantage.

We have an existing opening for a Senior Project Manager to join our Montreal team. This position will support our growing Quebec operations, which provide environmental science and project management services to the insurance and risk management markets. The position will involve working with clients and team members to direct spill mitigation, delineation, remediation, and documentation to support clean ups and file closure.
Role Requirements:
- Degree in Science or Engineering (Environmental or Earth Sciences preferred) or related diploma with applicable experience.
