Claims Service Representative *Remote work*, anywhere in the GTA (Toronto, ON)

 

 

Role Summary

We have an existing opportunity to add a Claims Service Representative to join our growing team! You will work in a remote based environment.

The Claims Service Representative provides immediate and customer-focused assistance to policyholders who are calling to report insurance claims. Document initial loss details and activities to ensure that callers experience timely and service-oriented disposition of calls. Make determinations based on protocol if immediate adjuster attention is required and coordinate with vendors as required.

* In order to work remotely, you will require High Speed Internet. (Download and Upload speed must both be at a minimum of 50 mbps)
* Please note that this position requires shift work on a seven (7) day rotating basis with an 8 hour shift between the hours of 7am to 12am. Weekend shifts are mandatory.
*This is a full-time opportunity, and will require 37.5 hours of work per week.

Key Responsibilities:
• Review call report and ensure call has terminated properly, then forward accurate and complete call reports as required.
• Provide personalized customer service of the highest level
• Arrange for the dispatch of adjusters or vendor partners when required
• Field and answer branch inquiries and administer to appropriate area
• Maintain data base of service lapses reference for root cause, report trends and make recommendations to management
• Review claim information to determine proper next steps for processing against client guidelines/ service agreements

Qualifications and experience:

Property Claims Examiner - Full Time (Anywhere in Canada)

Salary range: $67,200.00 - $93,300.00 annually

 

 

International Programs Group (IPG) is an independent third-party administration (TPA) team providing claims services for Lloyd's of London syndicates, domestic insurers, self-insured entities, and organizations with high financial retentions.

We have an existing opportunity to add a Property Claims Examiner to our team!

The successful candidates will be part of a dynamic team that provides quality service to internal and external clients. They will display excellent customer service skills and will be a key contributor to the success of the organization by providing knowledgeable, detailed and timely service. Utilizing a ‘desktop’ model, IPG examiners manage claims from start to finish. This hands-on approach ensures that the claim is handled properly and also helps offset third-party adjusting costs.

Role Responsibilities:

• Examine moderate to intermediate complex property claims

• Produce reports with occasional guidance from Manager

• Direct Field Adjusters on task assignment investigations

• Settle claims directly with Insureds or their representatives

• Administer claims payments/settlements through trust accounts

• Liaise with all stakeholders to insure clients needs are met

• Report back to the syndicate or self-insured according to their guidelines

Qualifications & Experience:

While licensing and experience are critical to being able to handle significant examining tasks for a TPA, we are looking for individuals with a demonstrated and proven track record of performance. You will have to be  strong technically, a solid planner and organizer, and understand key issues plus provide solid solutions. You will have to be motivated to do this type of work and be excited by the challenges that a rapidly growing organization faces.

We will also consider the following:

• Your education, with relevant post-secondary education being an asset

• Your completed CIP courses, or working towards CIP designation

• Your ability to hold an independent adjusting license

• Your 3-7 years' experience delivering relevant claims adjusting and/or examining work

• Exposure to the Lloyd's market would be an asset

• Your experience positively contributing to a high-performing team

• Examples of your strong aptitude and ability to work with technology

• Your attention to detail and your ability to communicate professionally
