We have an existing opportunity to add a Junior Mechanical Engineer to our Collision Reconstruction Team! Reporting to the National Director, Accident Reconstruction and Biomechanics, the successful candidate will use their technical background to develop the skills necessary to investigate motor vehicle collisions and complete collision reconstructions involving motor vehicle examinations, computerized collision reconstruction simulation, the evaluation of evidence and completing incident liability analyses. There will additionally also be the need for assessments of pedestrian slips, trips, and falls. The work will involve such activities as deemed necessary to carry out accident reconstruction, which may include: attending sites, obtaining measurements, vehicle data collection, surveying/scanning vehicles and scenes, running analyses, and report writing. This is an in-office position located in Mississauga. Provide front-line quality customer services and fulfill an important role in the claims creation process for new claim reports received via email, fax, and telephone. Perform claims triage on new losses by engaging designated resources, claim units, and/or protocols to respond to defined categories of high-profile, complex claims nationally. Take part of a phone queue primarily receiving inbound calls, though some outbound call follow up is required. All calls require documentation and data entry for claims creation and follow up. Responsibilities
- Field and enter new claims reports received through a variety of methods, such as email, telephone, and fax.
- Triage new claim notices and report, as applicable, to all layers or as specifically instructed by the Claims Advocate. Reporting in line with service level agreement.
- Identify type of loss and coordinate response to defined categories of loss events across all lines of business.
- As applicable, manage and distribute incoming email communication from seven zonal email boxes.
- Identify the immediate needs and requirements of incoming new losses. – is it immediate and high priority.
- Provide training/mentoring and technical expertise to the internal organization and business partners for succession planning purposes.
- Provide administrative support and assistance when required.
- Generate ad-hoc statistical reports as required.
- Support process improvements and share these with management.
- Follow up with external insurers/adjusters regarding claim number and reserves
Education, knowledge and experience required
- Post-secondary education
- Insurance industry experience/exposure preferred
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a customer service/support role required
- Previous experience working in a call center environment or on a queue preferred
- Exceptional MS Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong computer skills with an aptitude/ability to learn new software/databases
- Bilingual in English and French an asset.

Qualifications & Experience: University degree or post-secondary education related to insurance is nice to have. Minimum of 3 years’ experience. CIP designation or working towards designation. Adjuster’s license or have completed a minimum of the below 4 CIP courses: C11: Principles and Practice of Insurance C12: Insurance on Property C13: Insurance Against Liability—Part 1 C14: Automobile Insurance—Part 1 C110: Essentials of Loss Adjusting (Nice to have) Equivalency in combination of education and experience will be considered. Ongoing commitment to education and learning. Effective analytical skills, including identification of cause and effect dynamics Good investigative manner Able to draw valid conclusions and effectively communicate them. - Traiter certaines factures intersuccursales.
Gestion des dossiers - Effectuer les demandes de rapports de police.
- Assurer le suivi des demandes et transmettre les documents reçus aux experts en sinistre.
- Classer les documents dans les dossiers électroniques et consigner les notes appropriées.
- Procéder au paiement des factures ISB via Concur.
Gestion du courrier - Réceptionner, ouvrir, dater et numériser le courrier entrant.
- Associer les documents aux dossiers concernés et inscrire des notes pour les experts.
- Préparer et expédier le courrier sortant, en français et en anglais.
- Gérer les envois recommandés.
- Préparer les expéditions Purolator.
- Préparer et distribuer des enveloppes préaffranchies aux équipes internes et aux employés en télétravail.
Soutien administratif aux équipes - Envoyer des chèques, correspondances et documents légaux aux équipes internes.
- Remettre les chèques aux assurés, obtenir les signatures requises, numériser les preuves et les intégrer aux dossiers.
- Numériser et traiter les documents remis en main propre.
- Assurer la transmission des documents aux experts et leur intégration dans les systèmes.

- Prepare Purolator shipments
- Prepare and distribute prepaid envelopes to internal teams and remote employees.
Administrative Support to Teams - Send cheques, correspondence, and legal documents to internal teams
- Deliver cheques to policyholders, obtain required signatures, scan proof of remittance, and upload to files.
- Scan and process documents delivered in person.
- Ensure documents are forwarded to adjusters and integrated into systems.
- Perform various administrative tasks: scanning, document assembly, sending reports, etc.
